Symmetrical Gingerbread

After a brief study of Symmetry we decided to build Gingerbread Houses before leaving for Winter Break.  First we had to gather all the supplies.

Then it was time to map out our yards, make a design plan, and determine how much of each decoration we would need.

A lot of thought went into these plans.  Once completed we had to build our bases then take a break for reading groups.  Maddening!

After lunch it was on to consulting designs.

Gathering materials...

...and let the fun begin!!!

Honestly one of my favorite days of teaching so far.  We couldn't have done it without the help of some great parent volunteers.  THANK YOU!  Happy Holidays everyone.
